Vacation in Washington state
in the end of April we flew out to Washington state to check it out and see if it could be somewhere we might want to try to live.
We're kind of burned out on New England, and think we need a change of scenery and attitude for a couple of years. Hey why not the west coast!
Never lived on the west coast before. In fact never even been to WA state before either.
Been to California a bunch of times, but never further north than say Ojai.
Turns out we loved WA and are seriously thinking about moving out there when my schooling is done.
We flew into Seattle, and then drove north up to the Olympic Peninsula and stayed in Port Angeles for a couple of days. Then we drove to Port Townsend and took the ferry over to the "mainland" then we drove north to Bellingham where we stayed another couple of days. Loved Bellingham. Lots to offer, nice attitude, on the water, lots of boating. Even kind of looks like Maine.
